BARRETT PRODUCT EVALUATION

Barrett Products is a family run company and started from humble beginnings in1995 by Jason Barrett Jason was a very competitive racer and like all racers was looking for that edge over his competitors.

Jason Being a talanted metal fabricator and welder decided he could make an exhaust system to suit his race bike that would give him the edge he was looking for and after much devolopment he created the first Barrett race system, That system became the envy of his competitors soon people were asking Jason to build them a system for their bike and Barrett products was forged.

Barrett Products are renowned for there quality, Jason said there are countless hours of research and development that go into every exhaust system that the company produces from stress testing components to dyno tuneing on the in-house dyno, all Barrett products are hand crafted in the Barrett products workshop by a dedicated team of bike enthusiasts.

Jason Barrett from Barrett Products has provided us with a Barrett Muffler for evaluation which we have fitted to a Husky 450, we chose a gold finish as we think it sets of the Husky very nicely.

The pipe bolted straight on as if it was from the factory, The overall finish of this product is outstanding and a piece of manufacturing art,The brackets supplied with the muffler hold the unit very sucurely There is a rubber damper between the brackets and the pipe this stops vibration while holding the unit snugly to the sub frame.

The end cap is a thing of beauty being machined from a single peace of billet aluminum it is fitted with a removable spark arestor and the end cap is removable so you can repack the unit when needed.

Well as they say the proof is in the pudding the sound that comes from a barrett muffler will give you thrills that are hard to find outside of the red light district and the increase in power is awesome, This muffler allows the bike to flow all its exhaust imissions smothly de restricting the engine without making the bike sound like a jet fighter comming into land.

The power spread is smoth and all the way through the rev range without any unexpected hits coughs or spluters Jason's research has certanily paid off.

We would highly recommend one of Barrett Products mufflers the quality is second to non the sound will blow you away , the performance increases are outstanding all from an Australian made product from an Australian company with passion and commitment to bike riders.
